Patsy Palmer is set to make a major return to our screens in a hard-hitting new BBC crime drama. The 50-year-old actress, who rose to fame playing Bianca Jackson in EastEnders, has joined the cast of In The Club alongside Katherine Kelly and Jill Halfpenny. The four-part series, written by Kay Mellor, follows the lives of four women who meet during a police investigation into a local businessman. Palmer will play Kath, a former businesswoman who has turned to crime to make ends meet. In The Club will begin on BBC One later this year. Palmer left EastEnders in 1999 after nine years on the soap. She has since appeared in a number of TV shows and films, including Casualty, Holby City, and The Bill. In The Club is her first major TV role in several years. The BBC has released the first trailer for the series, which shows Palmer's character being interviewed by the police. In the trailer, Palmer's character says: "I'm not a criminal. I'm just trying to survive." In The Club is a gripping and thought-provoking drama that explores the lives of four very different women who are brought together by a crime that has far-reaching consequences. The series is set in Leeds and follows the women as they navigate the challenges of their everyday lives, their relationships, and the secrets they keep. The cast of In The Club is excellent, with Palmer, Kelly, and Halfpenny all giving strong performances. The series is also well-written, with Mellor's trademark wit and warmth on display throughout. In The Club is a must-watch for fans of crime dramas and anyone interested in the lives of ordinary women. The series is set to be a major hit when it airs on BBC One later this year.
