NYC Dominican Day Parade Returns Sunday in Manhattan

Celebrating the Magic of Merengue

A Sea of Dancers, Maracas, and Dominican Pride

The 42nd annual National Dominican Day Parade kicks off this Sunday, August 6, 2024, promising a vibrant celebration of Dominican culture in the heart of Manhattan.

The parade, themed "The Magic of Merengue," will feature a lively procession of dancers, musicians, floats, and community groups. Starting at noon, it will march up the Avenue of the Americas from 36th Street to 56th Street.

This year's parade is a testament to the vibrant and thriving Dominican community in New York City. The National Dominican Day Parade Board, led by Chair Cristina Contreras, has worked tirelessly to organize this annual event that showcases the rich heritage and contributions of Dominicans to the city's cultural tapestry.

As the parade fills the streets with music, color, and alegria, it serves as a reminder of the indomitable spirit and enduring legacy of Dominican culture in New York City.
